When having a dietary restriction, choosing a restaurant or meal can be very time consuming and stressful.

After conducting 12 interviews it is very clear that most people living with a dietary restriction or food allergy often get stuck with very limited menu options, and end up having to have the most bland meal on the menu.

Another consistent issue was lack of ingredient transparency. Most interviewees understand that a server may not fully understand certain restrictions, however most menu descriptions are very limited-which makes it even harder/ time consuming to have to inquire.
